Erik Hedén var en av tre som fick 2010 års Göran Dahlberg-stipendium, gratuleras av Karin Hesse som ingår i stipendiejuryn.

Lördagen den 27 augusti är det vernissage på Miriam Lausseggers utställning på Galleri LOKOMOTIV och samma dag besöker Böleängs herrgårds konstförening ÖKKV. Konstnärer i närområdet inbjuds att visa verk i korridoren längst upp i Kulturfabriken.

Report about my stay in ÖKKV in Juni 2011

An artist in residence program like this is a great opportunity for artists to work in a new surrounding, get a lot of fresh impressions, and focus on the artistic work.

The provided infrastructure with the apartment, the studio and the screen print workshop makes a great work atmosphere.

It was good, that all the basic equipment was available and that I could order the required materials like colours and paper in Sweden (so I didn`t need to bring them with me). It was very helpful to get "shopping support" prior to my stay (Thanks to Jenny!).

As I had planned I used the facilities of the screen print workshop.

So I could realise the two series Versailles and Industry scape.

It was great that I was provided with a bicycle so I could explore the surroundings of Örnsköldsvik. The possibility of internet access was also very helpful for my work.

Also the possibility that my family could visit me and stay some time with me in the flat was great and helpful.

Last not least I wanted to thank you for the warm welcome and the support during my stay.

All in all I had an inspiring and productive time in Örnsköldsvik.
